По рекомендации рачительного хозяина Марка Порция Катона Цензора (II в. до н.э.) рабам, помимо хлеба, оливкового масла, рыбного рассола и подпорченных фруктов, полагалось выдавать в год от 150 до 260 литров вина. Это получается почти до бутылки в день. Если довольствоваться хлебом и оливковым маслом и отказаться от рассола и фруктов, - вполне себе правильное питание.

Таким образом, в год до 284 литров вина, т.е. больше бутылки в день!
